The same thing happened to my turbo...fipg instead of a gasket on the oil lines...:nono: My motor has been fine since it was replaced, and I didn't see any metal shavings come out when i changed the oil at the same time.

If it is the CPS wiring, then it should throw a code 12 as well.

A stock CT26 is your best bet if you aren't going for anything above stock psi or a little bit higher... You could ask around on here, I have seen one's in good condition go for as little as $75, and it isn't horribly difficult to replace...
