I cleaned and re-lubed the sliders VERY well...lol...but I did not re-surface the rotors...they felt very smooth, like you almost couldn't feel anything with your finger nail. I also cleaned everyting very well with Brakleen. The worn out pads were also OEM Toyota BTW.
It may not be your head gasket. Did you machine the head and block when you went metal?? Try checking you radiator, fan clutch and water pump...I have a feeling your fan clutch is weak.
Haha...BHG's anonymous...lol...But I'll be the first one to admit that i am afraid of a BHG, even though I did everything right while replacing it (to my knowledge) and took every safety precaution I could...we'll just have to see what happens. :)
It will be okay, just bypass the connector, and hard-wire each wire, one at a time. Use some crimp-on butt connectors. I like to slide the metal piece out of the plastic shielding, and cover them with heat shrink, or electrical tape, once they have been crimped. It'll take you like ten...
