    Updates: Rebuilding my GE

I'm glad you went that route instead of just replacing the bearings...I think you'll be much happier in the end when you don't have rod knock again. ;) And for the oil pump, just check the clearances of the GTE one (not sure is GE pump is any different)...you should be okay...I have heard that...

    CAR CUTS OFF

What do you mean by "cuts off"? Do you mean the engine stops running? As in it stalls? If so, it only does it when the car goes into first gear? Or when you come to a stop?

    89 tails quick question

Older trim, the moulding is a thin rubber "belt" that peels off with a little heat.

It HAD to be a Honda! Oh, my baby!

Dammit!!!!! I am going to start carrying a shotgun with me, and whoever hits my car gets shot on the spot! :icon_evil But really, I hate stupid people, and your car was so damn nice! I don't know what I would do if that happened to my car...but it would probably be violent...:(.

    89 tails quick question

I just took the studs off (they slide out) no big deal really. And as far as the mouldings, I just used a blow-dryer to heat my pre-89 moulding, and peel it off...then I double-stick taped it to the 89+ moulding. Here's a pic:

    Unreliable in boring engine?

Ummm...I don't know of anyone who has sleeved a 7M, and I don't know why one would want to either. Most people bore out the 7M to straighten things out, not necessarily to make more power...and I don't see how boring out the cylinder a little bit would make the car "unreliable"... When...

    Acrylic and oil...

Wouldn't the hot oil discolor the palstic over time, even to the point where it wouldn't be transparent anymore?

    Silent_sniper's build

Great plans! Clear turn signals will look badass on our car! And IDK if what you are thinking about doing to the 89+ tails would even be feasible...you would have to find someone with the capabilities to make a mold of the lights, and even if you could find someone to do the fab work...I...
