Well...I have heard that it will eliminate a lot of the turbulence caused by the exhaust coming from the hot side of the turbo, and the exhaust coming from the wastegate...In the stock setup, the two streams of exhaust are trying to cram into one pipe, and it creates a bit of friction (or...

I have 4 shims in my wastegate, and I only hit 8psi at most. :dunno: I don't think I have any boost leaks, the car runs perfectly.

Well, could it be that the pumps you have gotten are just ALL defective? It would have to be a total fluke, but it's possible. Where did you get the pumps from? Have you called Walbro?

From my local dealer, they want ~$220 for it...and that's not including the mounting hardware...like the three support bars and bolts.

How about a stock style PRE-89 lip spoiler, but maybe a few cm's lower would be cool....those are near impossible to find...all existing ones are beat up...and the dealer wants an arm and a leg for them...

I think I heard Aaron talking about something like this, or if it wasn;t him, it was someone at the local meet...There was in fact a cover that went over the intake plenum on NA's...maybe Jeff Lange can chime in?
