To give you an idea, my stock ct has almost 170K on it. When i spin it with my finger tips it spins continuously about 7-8 seconds. Mine has no shaft play so i assume both are very good especially for its age. I have a video but its not the best ill try to upload it to youtube.
videos taken...
i hate that. after which they go on to ask, oh twin turbo right? i smile (laugh inside) and just say no its a single now. Majority of the time anyone who's interested in cars is just like "ooooshitson show me". then i pop the hood and watch their eyes light up :aigo: . I just smile, nod and say...
^got it bypassed earlier, thanks though. Out of curiousity though, if i were to get a block off plate for the j tube, would the oil have to be drained?
Well, actually, it eliminated two more place for possible leaks, i took the return line from the Aero FPR (steel braided) and hooked it directly to the original return hose. I zip tied the line just above the J-tube on the Intake plenum stay. I did this b/c of location of FPR and length of braid...
I'm reading up on bypassing the J-tube. Everyone keeps saying running another hose to the hard line, but instead couldn't you simply get a brass 2Xmale adapter from lowes and connect the two hoses already connected to the j-tube? Isn't that other hose connected to the hard line already?
Well, i'm in need of some money. I still havn't been able to afford books yet mainly since i can't sell my other car. So now i need to look into other options. I've been considering school loans payable after school is over and since there are so many out there i was wondering if anybody has...
ok, so if i do a boost test and hear lots of air escaping the EGR, by some fault could this be from a bad VSV holding the valve in the wrong position even if the car is off? Or if the car was off, no air should be escaping anywhere even if the VSV was bad during a boost leak check?
BTW, i'm...
I just want to be sure before i cut up my EGR to make block off plates that a bad VSV could not somehow cause the EGR to leak air during a boost test while engine is turned off. I know VSV is electronically controlled but i know they get dirty/stuck sometimes and i want to make sure it wouldn't...
I was curious how difficult it should be to get into gear. I drove newer manual cars and find putting the car into gear position is quite easy, like you could push it in with one finger. I find w/my 5spd its quite difficult. Sometimes its easy and smooth, most times moderate (not able to push in...
