This just occured to me. Not long ago...(when i had an engine not covered in melted plastic and charred components :) )...i had a similar issue. It was actually and injector. It actually got unplugged when i went to mess around with the ISC. Same symptoms you are having. Its something to look...

got a clip of the sound? BTW, vacuum should be more around -20inhg. If it were me, anything lower than 18 at idle i'd expect a leak ;) also, does it do it on a cold engine vs. hot or both states?

:nono: i don't remember which way turning it affects the voltage in a positive or negative way but turn it to each extreme with the jumper plug in and ignition ON (give it a few seconds and odds are one of the extreme points will cause 51 to go away as its a real time code) we will see if...
