its possible the oil simply leaked into the galley and stayed there from before causing the oil coating. Its also possible your rings are shot, but not nearly as likely

understood. mine doesn't have the excess cooling capacity (which i get where you're going with that now), but assuming i don't (as much as those with a shroud), my point was originally if i lowered my tstat temp to 180, i still don't see why i wouldn't have more leeway in avoiding the 210* mark...

^everything appears normal here? Boost goes up, intake temps go up, exhaust goes up, engine temp increases however only slightly after boost run is over which makes sense. Only thing i can think to grasp from this at this point and time is Tstat is mostly closed, as temp increases it opens...

I find a LOT of supra people i know simply drive around just to pass time. I do this as well. Just wondering how much of the rest of the community does this? I cant even imagine how much money ive wasted just cruising around for no reason :nono:. At the price of gas i probably could've bought...

For those wanting Lasik, my mom did this awhile back. She always said well worth it. HOWEVER, keep in mind unless procedures/techniques have changed she lost a lot of her night vision and must wear glasses starting around dusk time; one side effect of the procedure.
