You need to re-read it, he said "plenty fast for you" clearly condescending.
Thanks to those who gave me a sincere reply.
Moderator: You might want to consider locking this thread, cause I can tell it's gonna get ugly. No point.
I'm gonna resist the urge to get into name calling, and I know what the engine code is, along with all the other toyota engine codes, as well as ford chevy pontiac, chrysler etc...
And if you were to intelligently try to understand the thread, you would have understood that what I really...
Really?
My current setup (when it's running right) runs 11.90's on street tires, and I've only been playing with Supras for a little over two years... and my car started out as an N/A.
The only reason I'm considering a 1jze is, it's got a tougher bottom end.
I was building cars when...
Whether you like the lambo doors or not, I think you would have to admit that they are probably a hassle to use, and attract the "wrong" kind of attention.
As far as adding weight goes...pleeeeeaze...Supra's are heavy as hell anyway, so I doubt that would be a serious consideration for...
I'm thinking of swapping to a 1jze, and it's gotta be automatic trans, (because I live in Los Angeles and traffic is nasty, so a 5spd won't work for me) but my dilemma is:
How well will this work for a daily driver?
Being that the 1jze is only 2.5 litres, and from what I understand...
I'd have to agree that the trim seems to be an integral part of the cars exterior.
It might be different if the side moldings were "tacked on" looking, but the designers clearly crafted the body with the moldings in mind.
It looks like something is missing without the trim. It's not like...
There's a lot worse cars to work on.... but....they are (by far) not the easiest car to work on.
I think many 7m owners have had their cars for so long that they are dialed in to the way the car is put together, and working on them become second nature.
A replica ralley car would be great. I think if you're going to do it, you should do it as close to the factory racer as possible. Otherwise, wtf is it? Just my 2 cents.
Most Supra's are fuckin' rattle traps cause nobody takes care of them.
I have spent countless hours isolating squeeks, rattles etc, it's not all that easy to get them all. However, it certainly can be done if your determined.
I'm not sure that sound deadening material of any kind is...
Probably be quieter, I think I would have masked a thing or two off, although it probably won't matter.
...me too, I also like sharp pointy things sticking me in the eyes...that's just me, it may not be for everybody.:sarcasm:
