I think I saw a thread or some pictures somewhere (not on supramania), but it certainly would be an awesome conversion. I'll see what I can find, and I'm sure if it exists, (which I'm relatively sure it does) someone on this site knows of it for sure.
I'm surprised with the amount of 1, 2...
I agree. It needs a better design. The proposed logo is kinda plain.
I realize we probably need to keep the logo simple but, I'm sure quite of few of you guys have artistic skills and can come up with something we can all get excited about.
But, I'm in.
I've got one on the front (does nothing as far as I can tell).
But, it makes sense that the rear shock brace would make a real difference in chassis rigidity.
My car is a hardtop, and I am shocked that it has enough chassis flex to make the plastic interior panels creak.
Makes you...
I fixed all the rattles, buzzes etc and now it's quiet enough that I can hear the interior panel that surrounds the little windows in the back creak if I go over a bump hard enough or sideways across a steep driveway.
And it's a hardtop, which I wouldn't think wouldn't flex enough to make the...
I've spent a considerable amount of time using the old Chief EZ-Liner (frame straightener) and having seen and straightened alot of frames and unibodys, I honestly don't see how an x-brace under a MKIII would stiffen up the chassis on a sport roof.
I think someone mentioned triangulation...
As I recall there are some subtle differences on the Mkiii as far as door reinforcement etc, depending on what market the car was sold in (US, UK, AUS, JDM etc...) ...I can't quite remember. I would venture a guess that it would affect test results.
Also, sport roof has to be a factor.
Yeah, a high stall speed converter feels pretty much like a regular torque converter under normal driving, but when you hold the brake and the gas down it allows the engine to rev higher before locking up and overcoming the brakes.
Problem is they work best if they're totally dialed in to...
One more thing...
Where I race most of the time (Irwindale Speedway), has changed their emphasis and promotion to 1/8 mile drags for street legal cars.
Despite being used to 1/4 mile, I must admit that 1/8 for street is pretty damn fun. Plus, that's what's available to me without driving...
Nice to get back on subject.
You hit it on the head. The car doesn't come off the line as hard as I would like, and leaves me playing catch-up. I already have a 4.30 lsd, and you're right it helps off the line, but it still doesn't leap out of the hole.
My thinking in considering this...
I didn't start it, you did.
So I quoted you, so what? And yeah, I edited it to include the quotes, big deal.
They're accurate quotes.
I don't mind keyboard wars, but you and you buddies aren't honest.
What's the use if you don't acknowledge the facts.
Your "ignore the...
Yeah...you didn't insult me...my mistake...totally innocent...what was I thinking?:sarcasm:
I still maintain I didn't start this.
And if I did react prematurely, then just maybe it's a knee-jerk reaction to the negativity towards others (not just towards me) from the same few...
Really?
Because so far you haven't demonstrated that you even understood why I got offended, or that I didn't start it.
What you have done, is weigh in with your two cents in a devisive, confrontational manner, and throw gas on the fire with a complete disregard for the facts.
I sir...
This is really simple... so read carefully, he said "fast enough for you". NEGATIVE and CONDESCENDING. Got it?
And you're the one who quoted (poorly) the bible, I just finished the gist of the passage.
You sound stupid to anyone who has an IQ with a higher number than their waist...
