I did mention the screw on the front of the TB. If somebody has "unscrewed" it, it would cause the car to idle faster. I thought that was his question how to get the car to idle down? I guess maybe I'm the one that has misunderstood?
It's easy to check those with a ohm meter and I know they...
The little screw he is talking about on the back side of the TB is for adjustment of the TPS. You have to adjust it with a feeler gauge to get it set right to adjust the TPS with the ohm meter. Doesn't ISC stand for Idle Speed Control? The temp sensor senses the temp to set the idle down after...
Sounds like maybe something let loose and is stuck in between the plate and disk. There was another member just reciently had almost the same problem and he found his flywheel bolts had come loose and got wedge in there.
I think that is the stop screw for adjusting the TPS you are talking about. The TPS could need to be adjusted. Have you checked in front of the TB there is a black plug/cover about 1/2" round. You can pop that cover off and there is a screw inside. If the previous owner messed with that screw...
#3 and # 4 are probably somewhat soaked as the oil tends to run from the front to the back and the VC seals are probably leaking more at the back. The VC seals are not too much. Hopefully after you clean everything out and change the seals it will solve your problem. Check out your plug wires as...
Sounds like it might be a BHG. You can check the compression, check your oil for coolant, or/and get a coolant test kit at the parts store to see if it's oil you see in the coolant. Flushing isn't going to repair the problem since by what you say it kind on just happened with the smoking and...
I just wanted to know if the 50w would work and you have to go and write a whole page for me and others to read.:nono: Must be hard being soooo smart:biglaugh: Well I guess try for the 1% and start looking for a replacement, might be able to find one on the parts wanted section.
You should be able to tell if it is, just pull off one of the plug wires and if it's dripping in oil then it could be your problem. You have to clean out the recesses with turkey baster, rags, paper towels, etc. Changing them is easy just check the TSRM. There was a few post on the same problem...
Squirt some of da der 50w erl in er.:biglaugh:
How about some grafite Cre? Would that damage it or do they make some sort of electronic cleaning spray for contacts to maybe loosen the buttons up?
