i bet you have rust hole take the back seat out and look for water comon place for it to rust si the top or middle of the insaid wheels wheel take some stock out fo the back and find out i bet that is your issue
i don't trust eletrical water pumps so i will never get one there really not need any way far as i know of

i am maken a new type of ffi intake that i think no one has ever done yet i don't know why but i think it cool and will out flow any of the ffi out there for the mk 3 plus it will be even disbution of air...

for big gage wire cover it in flux take torch a reg solder with no flux
touch the crip tube add both hold both wire togetter and soder it cover it in shink wrap and bang you are done
small wire is just soder it then heat...
