it's doubtful that removing the AFM would gain you anything...the only gains you would see would be due to leaning it out due to the inherant rich condition from the factory....
what?
no.
as w/all piggybacks, the MAFT pro doesn't do a dang thing until you tell it to....
if by "base tune" you mean car-specific configuration settings, then sure.....but there's no "base map", etc. included or needed.
IAT- any location near the stock TB location doesn't really work- too much heat. you'll heatsoak the sensor quickly and get useless readings. your best bet is somewhere on the upper IC pipe before it crosses over the exhaust....
MAP- any post TB vac line will work. if nothing else, get a nipple...
Just a heads up for you NA guys- the NA AFM factors will be in the next software revision of the MAFT pro. Should make for a good device for NA-t, etc.
yessir.
heh. yup. ;)
the thing people don't get is that the common response is this: if something works or is good, you don't post or talk to the seller. prime example is selling anything (ebay, etc.) if what you sell works, you never hear from the buyer again. however, if it doesn't work...
heh. i'll never really be available. your best bet is to keep posting on the big MAFT pro thread, that way i'll be able to answer @ my lesuire and everything will still be confined to one thread....
the good doctor is busy....far too much going on...
anyway, suffice to say that in the MKIII "community" things come and go- the novelty and "newness" of the MAFT pro has worn off....couple that with the pseudo-high price of entry and you have something that many people want but few can...
champion bought up a large number of sets that were made by unobtanium motorsports.
if they are broken free, it would be in your best interest to yank them all and sand them down and coat w/anti-seize....
