You want major, read IJ's build thread. Look at Duane and Nate, the motor is obviously as durable as a JZ if built right, if you think it's built right, go for it.
I don't understand why there are even sports cars in Europe. $10 a gallon is ridiculous, that's about $10 a pull for me, and I'm still on 440s.
FWIW, a 57 trim isn't much (if any) less reliable than stock.
I'll go do it now then. Just to be sure, FIPG on the front cam cap and the front corners of the valve covers? MDC said do NOT use a small bead all the way around.
EDIT: That's correct, for future reference. If you look on http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=EM&P=52 and...
Just got off the phone with MDC, and it turns out when I did the cam seals I did it wrong. I didn't use any FIPG on the cam cap(?), and that's what it's leaking from. To continue that awesomeness (took four hours in a heated garage with two people working fast), I have smoke coming out of my...
I've done everything but seal those bolts in the middle and replace that gasket. Anyone have a pic of it? I have a gasket set right here but none are labeled.
I'd like to add I'm parked on a fairly steep incline, and that is #1. I'm sure if I could pull 6 it'd overflow out the top
Damn it. I can get a cell phone pic but it wont be as funny. It doesn't seem like it the VCs, as Jeff said they're CLEAN. I used RTV and reused the old (but good) gaskets when I replaced the cam seals. I'll go get the pic. I want to hold off on the valve cover gasket, as I don't see how that's...
In my spark plug valley. It's almost full to the top. Boost Lee has a picture of it, it's actually kinda funny. Replacing my VCGs today, any other ideas to stop the leak?
No... It's a thump thump thump until I let off or I stop. It happens about once a second. I'll get Boost Lee to post in here, I took him for a ride yesterday, maybe he can describe it better. I don't think it's a warped rotor because it doesn't happen every time. Sometimes, it wont happen at...
The only reason I can think of that explains the cold rad house is a thermostat that's stuck closed.
Have you or a previous owned bypassed the VSV? That kind of sounds like what you're describing, as far as the heat is concerned.
