The S13 convertibles with the cool slanted down boxy headlights (I think it's the later S14 front end) look pretty good. I've never liked Silvia front ends at all, I'd take the stock pop-ups over those ugly lights.
I have the same problems as Poodles, but my heatshield fit without cutting =\ It does touch the wideband bung thing they have up there but it doesn't vibrate or anything so I just left it.
I agree that the stock spoiler end pieces look terrible, but taking them off leaves four square shaped holes that would have to be filled and painted, so I can sort of see why they were left there. My car right now has the holes and I think it would look marginally better with endpieces in place...
Wait, what? I thought vacuum sources for blow off valves had to be after the throttle body, on the intake manifold. I'd tee into the one on the back of the intake manifold, the one that goes to the heater valve, assuming you do hook it up to a source after the throttle body.
^Yeah you can't leave that important bit of info out! =)
I've laughed at riced out cars before but taking funny pictures in front of them is a great idea...
One of mine flew off the car at like 40 mph. I didn't have the AC belt on and it just worked itself loose from the vibrations and one day... bang! clang clang clang!
I thought it was something that fell off my friend's car in front of me at first, but realized the pulley was missing a week later.
Nothing beats the feel of a manual, but in a good number of cases an auto is faster =\ I still don't think I'll ever buy an automatic if I have a choice (some newer cars seem to be going towards auto only) simply because of how much more fun it is driving a manual. Even those shiftable...
Most of them are targa actually. The hardtops are the ones that some people want (I prefer the targa myself, and a lot of other owners love their targas) but they were made in fewer quantities.
Good choice on the black vacuum lines, I don't like blue for some reason. The only thing that stands out is the crooked AFPR, if you mounted it your engine bay would be amazing =) It's really clean!
I don't have a diagram but the solenoid should have 3 ports. One goes to the compressor housing port on the turbo, one goes to the wastegate vacuum port, and one goes to a manifold vacuum source. It's important to get these right, is your solenoid separate from your pressure sensor? The pressure...
