    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Fixed my fueling problem, there's an error on gm's pinout. Swapped a wire, cleaned up my fuel lines a bit and it now stays running.

Is that the trans de jour for the Holdens?

"Never work"? Ok, maybe the ratio spread isn't as wide as a T56, but that's a long way off from saying it would never work. I think the R154 and 3.73 gears would be just fine. I can understand you wanting the tall 6th gear though.

    My Coilover Concept

I'm sure it's fine. Strut perches are built similarly.

    My Coilover Concept

Cool. How do ensure that you don't blow through with your spot welds? I tried something similar once. Gave up after destroying several shocks and lotsa $$$.

Whitening and/or cleaning coolant overflow bottle / reservior ?

^ truth. Cheap plastic distorts and changes color with age. Need a white bottle? Step 1: Remove 7M Step 2: Install decent engine Step 3: Install new bottle

    LS1 Supra Swap

^ Would really keep the costs of the swap down. Between sourcing the trans and driveshaft, you'll probably be out 2 grand. Not to mention ancilliaries like: clutch, speedo drive, trans mount. I'd make every effort to keep the stock R154. Either that or get a cheap AR5 + the adapter.

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Hmm, that would explain the odd bellhousing. I wonder if it's common to other Isuzu engines.

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Yah, that'd be pretty rediculous. Almost as bad as stock. This is what it looks like on the ground: 10.3 Perfect for boost :naughty:

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Progress anyway. And the sound of an unmuffled 4.2 is certainly a motivator. I had to apply 12V to the test line on my fuel pump to get it to run. I assume that's why it won't stay running, that line is 22 AWG connect by alligator clips to the battery. Ride height? If you're going...

    RIP 308 mk3's.

Who wouldn't pay $4500 for a running MK4? I wonder how many registered MKIIIs are left...

    LS1 Supra Swap

How much are the kits going for nowadays? Last I checked it was something like $350? Hptuners starts at $500. I'd pay the extra $150 for the benefits of: reduced wiring, proven tune, don't have to build a f'n computer :)

    LS1 Supra Swap

Yeah, I'd say keep the stock computer. There just so many people that have already worked out the custom tunes, it'd be a shame to start over from scratch. BTW, HPTuners has a custom OS for that computer that will handle boost.

Agreed. I'd be afraid of starting an interior fire at that point.
