Stock boost is 5.5 to 7.5 psi with factory acutator tolerance. An automatic is lower due to less of a load with the torque converter unlocked.
They are correct about the wastegate setting being 6.8.

Don't use a Sears home special hone. The 7M gets a 400 grit stone. IIRC.

No and no. Since 1 and 3 are not companion, it is not likely. I think a plug gap is closed, wrie not on good, injector plug loose, etc.
You can't put the cams in wrong. The sprocket wont go on, and switched wont work either becuase of the CPS/distributor.
There is a biiiiig difference between maybe a starter and is a starter. His battery sounds discharged. Clicking is almost never the starter. A single loud click is often the starter.
