I think you are stuck in direct, which is a solenoid failure. But sometimes drivability descriptions are tough to do.

Shaeff, when it is flooded, hold the pedal to the floor. This works in every EFI car that I know of, but I don't know that it works in every car.
Typically it is called clear flood mode, and injection is cut to 20%.

That engine has a double roller timing chain. It used to have metal guides to hold it in place. Toyota went to plastic for noise reduction and CAFE. That is fine for the first 150,000 miles, but the plastic breaks and the chain bounces off the front cover.

If there is one thing that stands out for the Supra when I let people drive it, it is the stiffness of the accelerator pedal. The return spring is stiffer than a wedding dick.
