The stock TCCS runs a little different when EGR is not flowing. If you think you need a front facing intake, then I think you need a stand alone. Long runner manifolds work much better on the street. You will run hotter combustion without EGR when EGR is in the ECU program.

That is a pricey rebuild with all new parts. But if you bumped the redzone, the chance of warpage is very high. So make sure you have a build page. 170k on a composite gasket is pretty good. It was probably at 58 lb/ft also.

That is called an all new head on not all new block.
