Why does everyone underestimate the MKIII?

Good post. The later 91 and 92's scored better with the Eagle GSD, over the gator back. But then again, it has been a long time, and maybe I don't remember as I think. Same suspension style. Small differnces in mounting and angles from different chasis. The 93+ is lighter and lower, as posted...

    intercooler upgrade questions???

Why don't you ask the seller if it is a Spearco core?

    Problems with Starter, again

No, it isn't supposed to get 6 volts from a 12 volt battery. Do you know why it started when you hit it with a wrench?

    top-end fasteners

Are you missing stuff? You shouldn't need them.

Why does everyone underestimate the MKIII?

Misinformation isn't necessarily disrespect. Some people have asked if it was front wheel drive, because it is a Toyota. On another note, it is a luxury GT that happens to have a strong engine. You want a real sports car? Pony up for the JZA80.

Paying homage to the new section

That is pretty good bling for a racer. And that is how they should look otherwise. A man after my own heart.

    Is this assumption correct?

Nope. You don't set WOT voltage. Not on any car I know of in fact. It is always the idle voltage.

code 31, 24 and tps help??

I don't have the schematic in front of me, but since you have both airflow meter codes, I would think about a loose or bad connection. I say that because I am pretty sure it is common power. THA=thermal air. Good job on actually looking up your problem.

    Is this assumption correct?

The backyard way is to loosen the bolts and turn it very slow until the 51 blinking stops.

    Timing belt firsttimer.

I can't say my small IR 3/8 impact met a crank bolt it wouldn't loosen. For the experienced, this is a 1.5 hour job, tops.

    FFIM?

Trying getting that info through the force field of miss information, such as a few posts later.

    FFIM?

The response is quicker from shorter intercooler pipes, not better. Unless you are running stock pipes. Then it is both. The engine does not care if the manifold is facing one way or another, unless you have a really bad layout. The size of the plenum, and the length and size of the runners...

What do I need for 450rwhp in high altitude?

Denver's track is Bandimere speedway in the foothills of Morrison Colorado. It is pretty funny to watch something like a stock C5 run a mid 15 in this air.

    Head porting

Porting will make it much easier. You could probably due without by adding nitrous and overboost. But due it the easy way.

What do I need for 450rwhp in high altitude?

Not quite. Since the air is less dense, power is lost.

    200RWHP

Still shoveling it I see...you posted a one and a half horsepower difference-pathetic no gain- a year apart, with that change. Over a crushed bent exhaust, the worst kind. A quality 3 inch exahust will shift the torque up in the RPM range. 200 rwhp is feasible without breaking the bank...

    Motor swap question!

The automatic car needs a TPS signal. They are not the same. Unless the 5 speed harness has plugs, which is very possible. Are you swapping a 5 speed for the A340E?

Having troubles with the tranny....I think.

What are your expectations for how it should shift? ECU failure is rare. Engine or trans ECU? Does it feel like it is taking off in second gear?
