If you need to do this mod, you need to do all of it.
It doesn't make the pump last longer, it is for tuning alone. More wattage to the pump doesn't make it last longer.
What do you mean by the easiest? Your concern should be the proper way. Crimped, and fill the crimp with minmal solder. Toyota explicitly says to do it that way.

My DrJonez manual boost controller is on the way. Next year I will have results of running near stock boost levels, and 13 psi from the CT26. No need to go higher, the turbo doesn't work good enough at that restriction.
Another common thing on A/C is a leak in the condensor. We have an intercooler, so that will help, but stones don't need to be going fast when you are hauling down the highway to cause a leak.
The ASE or 609 certitified tech shoulnd't have a problem finding the leak. Worse case scenario is as...
