How long have you owned your car? As the engine bearings wear, their clearance becomes bigger.
That lowers resistance to flow, making the gage read lower resistance, aka psi.
As the engine ages, the spring that is the relief valve can soften, opening it earlier, reducing flow to the...
Toyota decided some time ago, that they were not a sports car company. And *If* they sell a sports car again, it will be in the Lexus line.
And that was when oil was $40 a barrell.
Here is why Figgie is probably right, and jdub. The rings are the only grinding you hear. The gears are in mesh at all times, that is why it is called a syncronized transmission. The rings change the speed of the gears on the shaft. There are no gears for 4th, as IJ pointed out. It is direct...
An automatic nets less power to the wheels because of the slippage of the fluid coupling. It has less load on the engine than a manual. Despite what one poster said. That is why boost is lower.
Autos are 4.8-6.0 with a CT26, and the manual is 5.5-7.5 stock. More load(parasitic drag), more boost.
I know what you mean. But there are a few. The EWD shows pinout voltage, but that is sometimes just a range also. And it doesn't always match. Some of these guys have datalogged, or just used a meter to check things. For example the TPS doesn't make the 4.5 v typical of a 5 volt refrence. Only...
The factory EWD is very detailed, as is the repair manual. One note, Toyota doesn't employ a typical 5 volt refrence on the ECT sensor. It compares voltage needed to overcome ther NTC resitor to a 5 volt refrence. I would have to get the book out to see what else though.
AFM is Hz, knock...
The HKS system when tested for 65mm back in 1987 picked up a max of 36 rwhp, with peak to peak of 31 rwhp, with no other changes.
Yes, it looks stock and is fairly quiet.
He said 15 psi on his GT isn't the same, not all boost is equal. You said You tune because of the fuel mods you need to run the boost the new turbo will allow you to run...
Lex/550 didn't come up. I will let this one go...
When you open the throttle plate, air is pushed into the engine, which is in vacuum. This air is metered by the airflow meter. Based on that and time, fuel is injected.
You are not getting the injection part. Why? I don't know, I haven't seen your car. Make sure the AFM is plugged in good...
