I haven't read the directions you are talking about. I have done an 87 and a 91. Both were the same. Maybe not the colors, but the process.
The headlight circuit powers and foglamp circuit. The lamps are on their own fuse, but not the relay.
You need to provide a power source of your...
This is a stock head and a group a head. I am not posting the link. It has just enough info to get somebody into trouble.
The author calls the stock head a TRD head. It isn't. TRD never did that. Back in the late 80's, TRD sold parts of aftermarket companies like HKS.
That question was rhetorical.
Who told you just put a new headgaseket on there with out block and head prep? I hope you now know that person has no idea about what they are talking about.
No such thing as a TRD head. I don't care what you read elsewhere.
There was a car built for homogolation in group A. That had a more rounded, as in hemispherical, combustion chamber as opposed to a traditional pentroof. At least that is how it looks in the picutres.
One other thing, carbon dioxide is the desired product of the catalytic converter. It does not reduce it. The cat converts HC, CO and NOx into CO2 and H2O and N2.
Carbon dioxide is necessary for life, it isn't a pollutant. But that is a different thread.
Then you need to test the starter and system as shown. If the small wired isn't powered when the key is turned to crank, then we will worry about that.
Welcome to the most common mistake there is. Improper repair. First you ruined an engine. Then you repaired it wrong. When it failed again, you blamed the engine.
Does the 5M have a problem?
A bad battery will cause it. The amount of current needed to crank the starter is much higher than just turning on lights.
You could have a different problem, but that comes to mind.
Check for constant battery power on the big wire on the starter. Check for power on the small wire when...
You will ruin the bearing. Don't ask me how fast, I dont' know. Torque to book specs to avoid this problem. Unless you are talking headgasket. ;)
Chatter and whine are to different things. What do you know about the 4 X 4 shop? I find it hard to believe they inspected it and didn't measure...
Yes.

Turbo Magazine.
Yeah, you are wrong. No big deal. It is common to have bad translations from Japanese into English. The factory repair manual has issues also. That doesn't help trying to get the right info out there...
