The Luxocruiser 3650 lb sled thread

I took the turbo off to adjust the wastegate flapper. Well, first I took the arm off while it was still attached. So I took it off. And for whatever reason, I looked inside and it had a blob of silicone on one side. I had some oil come out, but figured it was from the dipstick tube. Nope. You...

What could be keeping my 7mgte from getting injector pulse and spark?

You should be suspect. The pickup creates its own voltage signal. You don't check for voltage going in. If you don't get that signal, you will not get the command for spark or fuel. The ECU grounds the injectors, which I think you have already noticed.

What should be my next baby...

Good choice, and considering it is Australian, it will feed his ignorant comment about no domestics.

    sputters low oil pressure

If you want an accurate reading, you need to use a mechanical test gauge. The spec is very close to what you are reporting as a malfunction. And yes, a worn engine has lower pressure because the passageway between the crank and bearing is larger, reducing resistance which lower the reading of...

    1UZFE swapped cressida

An assembled 7MGTE with accessories weighs 440 lbs and the 1UZFE weighs 370 lbs. It is a good engine with a lot of upside.

Need help with knock sensor rewire..

You are not grounding the signal wire. You are grounding stray signal in the shielding. I don't think it is needed, it didn't come that way.

    Best BOV ever?!

Bosch bypass valve from Saab. It is almost direct fit and handles plenty of boost. And best of all, dumb ricer sounds don't exist.

I think I need an aftermarket performance radiator! If so, what to get?

The electric fans are more than just condensor fans. They come on with high temps. If you disabled them, you have shorted your cooling system.

Fuel pulsation damper (Keep it or leave it)

There are many reasons, not just one, why a V6 Camry runs so smooth, and a comparable Lumina V6 Lumina from the same year don't.

Fuel cut? afm trouble? transmission control isue? i'm in need of help

I would make sure it is plugged in good, and nobody has ever messed with wiring before you. On a side note, this air flow meter turns on the fuel pump. You won't stall if the switch loses continuity, it would have to hang open and run out of fuel. But maybe it is failing, and you are just...

    The (old) Official Gun Thread.

Unless it is labeled AP for armor piercing, it isn't really restircted. You will know it is restricted when the ammuntion is labled government purchase order number required. I bought my EOTech 512. I haven't fired it yet. I will zero it tomorow.

Fuel cut? afm trouble? transmission control isue? i'm in need of help

If the idle contacts close, you will send the ECU mixed signals, and it won't know what to do. And that does not set a code 51. Of course the idle contacts can't close with your foot on the loud pedal, but you might have a wiring problem at the connector.

Coolant leaks out of the overflow

You mean like how a Supra owner can screw up an engine hoist? Not that I am picking on him, but I laughed when I read that topic. I don't know what the problem is, so how can you suggest what part he may need. I gave him the benifit of the doubt that the resevoir was leaking, because it came...

Fuel cut? afm trouble? transmission control isue? i'm in need of help

There are two sweeping potentiometers on the car. The TPS is one, and it is an important one, but a correction factor. The other is the airflow meter. It is possible to have a worn spot on the resistor, but I would think you need more miles to have wear like that. You can check both with a...

    Water Pump Installation

When I worked at Toyota, I never saw a water pump gasket. We used Toyota FIPG only, and it never leaked. You should use Toyota FIPG only, or the gasket only. You can apply a very thin amount around it to hold it in place when you bolt on the pump.
