Just saw this thread. Never would have thought to use paint stripper on wheels! Did it pit the metal at all? What brand did you use?

How much is involved to just replace a few syncros? My 2nd and 3rd are notchy, and I thought it would be nice to replace those when I change clutches and have the tranny out.

Not once you get above 350rwhp. I'm running drilled & slotted brembo rotors with EBC green pads and the brake fade is still scary when doing only a few high speed stops.

I don't mind the bump. I find this very interesting.

Thanks for the pics! I'll look into this. I did the bottom seat and although very tight, it seems to fit much nicer. One important pointer though! I read on SF that the fit is much better when you re-use the steel wires from the stock seats for the pleated areas. I did this and it came out...

Any chance you can post of photo of your leatherseats.com rears? So you're saying yours have the long vertical stitch and mine doesn't? I can see that mine is missing and would not look as good as the stock pattern, let alone the top being way too small.

I agree. The real leather is so nice and smells awesome. Had I known, I might have even opted to pay the extra $300 for full real leather.

Is this normal for your area? Or could it be the effects of global warming? It would have been good to at least put some carboard over the sheetmetal.

I tried some of the other peices, and the fit is much better. It seems that just these rear seat backs are wrong.

How did you guys find fitment of these seats? I just started on the rears and the fitment is terrible. Look at how much shorter the tops of the rear seats are compared to stock. It's completely squashing the headrest bulges and is causing the seatframe to buldge out. What a crock.

I was wondering if there was a risk of someone seeing a plate, and then making a counterfeit plate to steal another supra, so the make and model would check out if they were being followed.

Does rod knock mean the crankshaft rod bearing has broken up and missing?

Why not take it into a custom fab shop and have them retrofit your existing seat and add a middle belt?

I gutted my interior prior to driving it to the body shop. The increase in road noise was MASSIVE, even with the stock deadening material still in place. I was surprised how bad it was.
