What is the function of Preload?

I thought that with the SS you're stuck with the same ride/spring rate at all heights, but the Flex had adjustable spring rates using the preload feature.

The previous owner of my car installed late 80's celica all-trac seats in my Mk3. It did require cutting and welding the frame/mounts. I weighed them and it saves about 30-40 lbs over the stockers, and still has motorized lumbar and side bolters.

Have you taken a window switch apart before? It looks like it would never go back together again if I cracked it open.

I recently sprayed some contact cleaner into my driver's side window switch since the electrical contacts were intermittent. It fixed that, but now one of the plastic switches gets stuck when pushed. I tried lots of WD-40 but it made no difference. How can I lube this mechanism properly?

I'm making major progress on my project. Although manually prototyping and assembling this stuff takes a massive amount of time. I must be into this for well over 40 hours of labor by now. Pics soon to follow this week!

I guess I'll have to peel up a chunk of the stock material and compare the weight to my dynamat to see what the difference is.

Even though the Dynamat Xtreme is about half the thickness of the stock material? Is the stock material less dense?

Any idea how much weight that might save? I've been thinking of doing the same since I got a bulk pack of Xtreme on hand. It is thinner than stock.

I think Inifninty speakers would sound nicer than JL. I used to sell them and the plastic cones sound dull and the aliuminum tweeters are harsh and tinny. I actually cringe every time I see them going into a car on Unique whips.

I bought one of these and will install it soon, near the rear diff area like the Tanabe exhausts are. I think this will be much better than the smaller body resonators or glass packs.

Those sideskirst would do a really nice job of hiding the rust holes in my Mk2 daily driver :) I might be interested in buying them in a couple of months.

What was it's power? 533 ps? Is that metric?

I was thinking of integrating one of the later model GM cupholders in somewhere, that have the nice rubber flanges that adapt to all sizes. But since I'm putting in all new leather and suede, I decided drinks are off limits in my car :)
