I have a Autometer LFG boost gauge, and the silicone liquid inside only comes up 3/4 of the way so it looks low. Do they come this way from the factory? Or can I fill it up some more? Where do I get this liquid silcone compound? I found nothing on the Autometer website or elsewhere.

I was thinking that a NA engine would already be sucking a heck of a lot of air at 3000-6000 RPM, possibly more than the motor could maintain 2-3psi the whole time. It would be cool if it worked though. My Mk2 could use a kick in the pants :)

I wouldn't worry about tires for your first couple of times. I didn't, and had lots of fun at the auto-X. Some street tires get greasy when they get hot, but at least you'll learn your car's limits.
