The interior side panel inserts near the rear seats are HEAVY sheet metal. If I could make figerglass ones quickly and easily, I would do that for sure.
The store I used to work at sold a slim 6.5 or 7" self-powered sub enclosure made by Clarion, usually mounted under the seat. It sounded decent for what it was. Might work?

Let me know what kind of cost that would be Randy. I'm talking to a guy who makes OEM-style emblems, using ABS plastic, a CNC machine, and then chrome plating, so it would have rounded edges like stock.
Anyone know if these are available right now? Last I heard there were a couple in Germany, and looking on eBay UK, there are only some ones that look cheesey. I have a local guy that can custom make emblems, but it is quite costly but gets much cheaper for orders over 10. Thanks.

I doubt you'll get any decent sub bass response up front. The doors would just rattle like crazy. A 3-way system with a 6.5" in the door with a proper amp will give you heaps of full-range front-stage sound, and add an 8" sub or 2 in the rear for sub-fill. Or buy a miata, they can fit 8's into...
