    Supercharger on a 7M

So how would it be set up? Using some kind of valve system to separate the turbo from the intake until a certain boost is reached?

    The lsd thread

Would you cryo treat the case, or the ring? I've read somewhere that it's tricky to remove and install the gears, but I imagine it's just pins pressed into the gears. Could you cryo treat it with the gears in place?

    The lsd thread

Here's the photos of the Mk3 and Mk4 Torsens side by side, taken from this long thread: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=392174 Check it out, as well as the photos below. It seems that the case fatigues, with cracks beginning at the corners of the gear windows, possibly because...

Aftermarket steering wheel install successful! Now how to make the turn signals work

I think he's referring to the turn signal cancelling when the wheel turns? I had to hack my stock steering cover apart and glue the rear part to my hub so it would turn the signal cancelling mechanism.

Project Cherry Widebody, finished! (New pics on post #451 and #511)

I've thought about that too, and have so far opted to use OEM grey seat belts and window switch covers; stuff that could get chipped or scratched. Any other items that might wear through the paint fast?

Thanks for the kind comments. I searched endlessly for a shadow grey interior, but they are super rare to find for sale.

    The lsd thread

It seems that most OEM JDM Mk3 torsen diffs that fail have the main housing shear off from the ring gear part, due to fatigue over time (this happened to mine, it failed while cruising around). In another thread we were discussing how if that weak joint could be strengthened, perhaps with a bead...

LED Tail Lights and Front turns

You can solve your flasher problem by replacing the stock flasher relay with one from http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm that is designed for LED usage.(I think it's the EP34) Instead of drilling holes, I've seen some guys simply bend the leads on their LED's 90 degrees, and solder them...

stock seat belt slider; what is it?

Are you 100% sure? The part seems quite heavy and beefy as does the bolt.

stock seat belt slider; what is it?

My Mk3 came with 87 Celica All-Trac seats custom installed since they save about 30lbs. The seat belt clips into the buckle mounted to the seat frame. I noticed on Supra seats they do this too, but have some kind of long slider thing that also attaches to the transmission tunnel. Is this a...

    Steering rack bushings

So this is an easy install, without removing the rack? I might do this since my bushings are really sloppy.

I aggree. It's funny, before the bodywork I drove the car to its limits, ALMOST wrecklessly since I knew the body was getting redone anyway. Now I will be driving like a paranoid grandma! IJ: The stock rear wing was my original plan. It would be cool to see your idea photoshopped!

I'd get the S2 kit but paying $4k is so extreme! The LED build cost about $300+ for parts (using only the best parts), and many nights of labor, maybe 50 hours total since I've never done it before and made lots of errors along the way. IJ: Good plan. Got any of your old comparison photos? :)

    burnout with open downpipe

I've idled and revved my car with an open downpipe. You just can't describe how loud it really is :) It's so outrageous.

Thanks! I was very excited to see them on the car today. I was hoping that using long wide lines of LED's would complement the widebody rear, and it does add to the wide look. In real life, the car looks bigger and more amazing than these photos show. I'll will create a video of the car when...

Project Cherry Widebody, finished! (New pics on post #451 and #511)

I tested out the LED tails today. The brightness is adjustable, but I took a photo of the brake lights at max :evil2: The stock center lens will go back, but is not shown. The rear wing won't be widened or extended. We're keeping it kind of Porsche-style, to leave the rear fender bulges shown...

Bodywork should be done this month, and then the paint depends on the paint shop's schedule. Hopefully it will be quick!

My budget is totally blown for this year so I'll have to settle for the 400rwhp I have now. ;) Any suggestions? What would you like to see on the rear? Wow, repainting the interior is a huge job. I hugely underestimated how much paint I would need, and started off with 3 cans. This was only...

    arg, my short shifter broke!

What bottom nut are you referring to? And the cracked bushing, is that where the upper pivot sits in the base? How old was your bushing?
