Yes, mine was pretty random too, but happened more often when the engine was hot, since the heat adds resistance within the solenoid/starter. It did it when cold sometimes as well. I'd bet money that the new relay and wiring circuit should solve your problem too :) I wired the start signal for...
VERY COMMON problem for the Mk3. The signal wire circuit over time cannot provide enough current to activate the solenoid. Several Mk3 guys have fixed this problem by installing a new relay and circuit to the starter solendoid. I did this and the problem was 100% solved. Many guys swapped...
They are a newer cheaper model by RF, but still good nonetheless. We used to sell them for about $99 CDN each new 5 years ago when I worked in car audio.
I gutted my interior before driving it to the body shop, and MAN it sounds terrible inside. A loud, rattly tin can. Something to think about for those trying to reduce weight this way.
Very sexy and beefy looking. The best choice for your car I think.
I'm trying to convince Duane to modify his rear camber to 0 or 1 instead of the 1.8 or so it is at now, for traction reasons. With a drag radial, I think you should do all you can to get your massive torque to the ground on...
Alternatively, you could have used a less bright LED and not have to change any resistors. I used these http://www.eled.com/product.asp?catalog_name=LEDs&Product_ID=E934MBD and they were a nice mild brightness with the stock resistors.
I think when the wheel is spinning back to center after a turn, your hands would glide on the leather and stick on the carbon, and would probably be annoying, less comfortable and be hot or cold compared to the leather at different temps.
I can't find any info on the safety system for manual remote starting on this model. Is it like the compustar, where the engine runs until you get out and close the door, then the engine shuts off, to ensure that it is not left in gear?
I have LED tails, but just put spare tails on the car to drive to the paint shop.
I know you guys are dying to see it painted, but believe me, I'm suffering the most! I missed a whole year because of this damn build. The paint shop I chose is a bit backed up, but I am willing to wait because...
Apparently my 57-trim CT has a Garrett center section.
Also, is there much power difference between a 57 and a 60 trim? I know that the 57 will be weaker at high RPM's, but at 15psi 4000rpms, would they be about the same?
Yeah, apparently this deck is not burr-brown, they changed their website after I inquired about it. Which sucks since it will sound the same as my current deck, which is very lackluster compared to the burr-brown decks.
That Eclipse deck looks pretty cool though. Looks like I'll be forced...
