Funny story, when I needed this part I didn't have the part number either, I was working that day so I had my dad call. Price seemed right and everything.... they ordered the oil pump drive gear :: facepalm ::
Now I walk in with part numbers.
Shock vs strut conversation it's just a technicality, just call them shock absorbers or dampeners.
TEMS in it's stock form is automatic, it's nice. With a rewire or controller you can take control and set it how you want, basicly doing the same as the Tein system, just not as sophisticated...
I used a flat piece of metal, and two bolts. They need to be pretty long and the right thread pitch to thread into the holes in the pulley, and the metal bridges across the snout of the crank. Turn bolts, gradually pulling the pulley off.
Shouldn't use a mallet to knock a pressed item...
Redlining a car isn't abuse... It's when you redline while drifting/autocross/ect (and uncovering the oil pickup because of the G forces) is when you have issues.
If you have a catastophic failure of a shock you'll manage, if you have a catastrophic failure of a strut you're screwed.
Regardless, we're off the point of this thread. TEMS is nice, yes. All the lowering springs out there are going to be stiffer than stock, some more than others.
Yep, all USDM turbo cars came with squirters, it was different in Japan. More than likely early cars from the time before we had turbos over here, but it's only speculation.
