oil filter relocation w/o stock oil cooler

uhm. maybe i'm totally backwards, but I bought this kit as far as I can tell you simply screw part of it on where you'd put the oil filter normally, and then plug the lines in to the other part, mount it where you want it, and put the filter on! am I missing somthing?

    Ct26 Coolant Lines

that may be true, like i siad, what i posted above was just what I have read before from several of the members I would consider 'informed' think about this though: many aftermarket turbos are strictly oil cooled....

    Ct26 Coolant Lines

search on sf, there's alot of information there. to sum up what I read over there... the coolant lines are only there for people who think its nessesary to turn the car off right after a hard run. you can remove them safely as long as you let your car cool down after EVERY run. that's...

oil filter relocation w/o stock oil cooler

there's nothing wrong with your stock oil cooler... just put the relocation kit on like you'd put on a filter and be done with it. I've got two waiting to go on both supras in the garage right now... not going to do anything with the stock oil cooler :)

    Which Gasket Set?

I don't know what O' Reilly's is but is there anyway you could extend me that price? :) Yeah, I figured since I am going all out on this I might as well spend the extra money and get the better of the two. only an extra 9 hours of work anyway :)

    Which Gasket Set?

eh, too late, I already ordered the Fel-Pro... hundred bucks... Rather not have to deal with leaks and shit after the engine is back in oh well, we'll ee how it goes. I have to find a head first, the JDM engine had a warped head and my NA had a warped head. ugh.

    Which Gasket Set?

see, that's my thought as well... I honestly don't think there is a difference between a 300 dollar gasket set and a 140 dollar gasket set... that's why I posted up, so if someone konws of a huge difference that would make it worth spending twice as much they'd englighten me (us) once...

    Which Gasket Set?

I need to get a complete gasket set for an engine rebuilt. The shop I had do all my work offered me two choices. Fel-Pro - ~250 Top-Line - ~145.63 Over 100 dollars difference. I have no problem paying extra money for extra quality, but I've used a topline kit before...

How hard to drop the tranny without pulling the engine?

from the sounds of it, pulling the engine would be easier! It took me under 2 hours to get the engine completely out of the car working by myself, seems like that would be alot easier

    Greddy Gauges

this is kind of a wired question, but how many plugs to the Greddy P/H/W gauges have on the back? Let me explain... The eManage will read off Greddy gauges... I'm wondering if they run in serial (two plugs on the back) or if it can only read one gauge....

Win the lottery - what car to buy tomorrow?

maybe a BMW M5 or M3, I'm not sure what the difference is... whichever one I like most... then make a MK3 nicer than Ultra7m, and the two guys on SF who have super-nice mk3's.... COMBINED! haha

    what would you do?

there's no point in having fellow members pay for a new fender, have a police report filed, take it to court, and get your fender that way... seems simple to me :)

    Vacuum Manifold

I'm about to put my GTE into my supra (as soon as I get it back from the machine shop ) I noticed a few members (IdealSupra, Dr. J...) running a GE Vacuum manifold... I love the idea of having everything clean like that, and having so few vacuum lines running... My question is, what do I...

    What is this?

haha, good point ;-) Thank you for the serious reply though, they're a bit lacking in this thread. A Noise filter could be a pretty good possibility, a cap can be used for alot of different stuff
