I don't normally like to guess at things but it could be for the TD box, cruise control box, or an option like the Super Monitor. As I recall all are located in that area.
Nick: You be welcome. As they say, each of us knows something...together we know it all. I'm not familiar with the Supra's...
Don't hold me to it but I'm pretty sure Jeff is correct in that the stock sensor will handle around 2 bar. Any sensor you repalce it with will still be going driving the drive circuit (a little box inside your combo meter) which in turn drives the stock gage so keep that in mind. There is no pot...
Can't help with the connector but the bigger hose looks to be part of the ISCV and TB coolant loop. Many people disconnected them but I use it for coolant bypass filtration.
Smart man. When dealing with trannys and diffs it's always a good practice to remove the fill plug first. That why you don't end up with an empty case and no way to fill it ;)
isnms scores again. The ecu gets it's ground from the intake so be sure those connections are clean. I long ago ran a jumper from that point to the main block ground just to keep things honest.
Aha, so you're that guy who does the coatings. I should have recognized the handle. As an engineer I've always wondered about what process you were using. I've come close to buying some stuff from you but couldn't force myself to part with the cash. I may send you something to do in the future...
You have an AFM problem. The AFM is one of only two things (the other I already know you have) that carries primary weight in the EFI system. It must work or the ecu will go into fail safe. If the ecu detects a loss of AFM input it substitutes a standard value based on the IDL contact so the...
You dog. I'd kill to have that setup. All it needs is a Super Cub in the background ;). Why'd you keep the slushbox? Seems a shame to "waste" a motor like that on one.
Where's IJ when you need him. I think the block is 1/8 BSP but don't hold me too it. What "adapter" did you break? Is this an OEM sender you're installing? If it's aftermarket and an adapter is involved then yes, it's likely to be NPT
Well, that explains why it falls on it's face. Anything that'll cause a 51 will have little effect on how the car runs. 34 is a different matter. Leaving details like that out just make it harder to help. Check your AFM and for boost leaks. Do you get a code 51 when the engine is off, the block...
Do you want the output of the sensor or the output of the drive circuit? I'm not sure I follow the need for a new sesnor when you can rescale the drive circuit. You'll still need a new overlay of course.
I'll tell you something though. As far as service manuals go the TSRM is one of the very best I've ever seen. There are very few these days that offer the information it does. In a knowledgeable person's hands it's an excellent manual. It doesn't tell all though and is why I've over the years...
