The turbine blades on the General Electric F110-GE-100 turbofan (basically the same engine) uses a blade where the grain of the metal is aligned...very, very strong. The Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-220 had a nasty habit of throwing a turbine blade on occasion...not good on a single engine airplane!

You're thinking about the MR2 alternator...it's model year 1991 2.0L Turbo w/ Powersteering. 100 amp alternator...this model MR2 has electro hydraulic powersteering, hence the high output alternator.

Yep...very true. You need a turbo that will move the volume of air required in a short period of time. Like IJ said, you gotta think this through. A restriction in the system will increase speed for a given psi (Bernoulli's Principle again) and can cause the flow to hit the critical point...

When you run piping for a forced induction system (i.e. a turbo), the smallest diameter of the piping, the TB, the intercooler in/output becomes the most restrictive. The compressed air becomes "more compressed" in a sense restricting flow...it's Bernoulli's Principle at work...you will get...

I'm running a Lex (w/ screw mod) and 550's...no S-AFC, but I do have a PLX wideband O2, a Walbro 255 pump, and an Aeromotive FPR. Lagged is correct, I adjusted the screw to get a good idle, but other than that, the stock ECU compensated for above idle runs. The wideband shows 14.7 at cruise...
