    A positive-boost turbo system???

The turbine blades on the General Electric F110-GE-100 turbofan (basically the same engine) uses a blade where the grain of the metal is aligned...very, very strong. The Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-220 had a nasty habit of throwing a turbine blade on occasion...not good on a single engine airplane!

    questions after rebuild

This is true...it's gonna take a few heat up/cool down cycles to completely purge the system of air. Run the heater too as Miggles suggested and top off the rad when it completely cools down. This is "burping" the system...you just do it over a period of several days as you break in the motor...

    Which Oil

Ok...I see the myth of thicker oil is "better" continues. I'm not trying to be a smart ass here, but the way most of us think about motor oil is wrong...it comes from misconceptions that have been in place for a very long time. The weight of oil you use depends on the conditions you run the...

You're thinking about the MR2 alternator...it's model year 1991 2.0L Turbo w/ Powersteering. 100 amp alternator...this model MR2 has electro hydraulic powersteering, hence the high output alternator.

    help with hose

If it's an '89+, it's the line that goes to the powersteering pump air control valve. Here's a pic of the pump: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/sr/SR_48.html And a discription of it's function: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/library/TSRM/sr/SR_39.html

what year q45 throttle body for ffim

Yep...very true. You need a turbo that will move the volume of air required in a short period of time. Like IJ said, you gotta think this through. A restriction in the system will increase speed for a given psi (Bernoulli's Principle again) and can cause the flow to hit the critical point...

what year q45 throttle body for ffim

When you run piping for a forced induction system (i.e. a turbo), the smallest diameter of the piping, the TB, the intercooler in/output becomes the most restrictive. The compressed air becomes "more compressed" in a sense restricting flow...it's Bernoulli's Principle at work...you will get...

    LEX AFM Question ?????

I'm running a Lex (w/ screw mod) and 550's...no S-AFC, but I do have a PLX wideband O2, a Walbro 255 pump, and an Aeromotive FPR. Lagged is correct, I adjusted the screw to get a good idle, but other than that, the stock ECU compensated for above idle runs. The wideband shows 14.7 at cruise...

That's the million dollar question...I've read this filter review several times and came to the conclusion that the Wix (same as NAPA Gold) or the Purolator filters are best for my application. That's because I'm using a remote filter set-up with the filter at a 45 deg angle down...the...
