Expansion. Btw, when the tank is vented it no longer runs at the designed 2 psi accomplished by the valving in the evap cannister. It was done that way for a reason. I'll let you figure out why.
Leaks where? There is nothing on the valve that can't be repaired if you have the ability and gear. That said if the diaphragm is torn you should just replace the entire valve. EGR is off at idle and above appx 4000 rpm so I don't see how it could be effecting idle unless it's leaking across the...
I have a low tolerance for punks Colin. Unlike others who seem to know squat about working in law enforcement it was my first career. Five years of being exposed to a parade of wise asses, most in cars and many near my own age at the time. The demographic doesn't get branded because of a few bad...
No shit. It's the single greatest problem with every other "youth car culture" community I've seen. While true adults are guilty to a lesser extend the vast majority of 20-somethings and below who drive have the judgment, intelligence, and maturity of 12 year olds. It's as if time stood still...
Cold Start Injector. Unfortunately the time switch and valve associated with it he changed couldn't possibly be related to his problem. Still, it's nice to have everything working.
^ What he said. The power for the AFM (Vc) is not only current limited but not 12 volts. Shorting it will not blow the EFI fuse. I suppose PS fluid across Ks and ground (or Vc) might cause weirdness in Ks but I sort of doubt it since the fluid is likely a dielectric. None of it makes sense but...
^ Doesn't make sense as that can't blow the EFI fuse. Not to mention code 32 in a 7MGTE has nothing to do with the AFM. A goofy AFM signal could cause richness though.
No. If the heater shorted and blew the EFI fuse the engine wouldn't run at all. If the heater (or any other O2 related fault)...
I wish people would be more specific as to whether the engine cranks or not when they say "not starting". I assume since he can hear the fuel pump he means no cranking.
Lol. Like shoveling against the tide...
Best for what? Value? Filtration? Construction quality? As if a full flow matters anyway. Right now I'm using a Mann-Hummel full flow combined with a TP bypass but the "best" spin on these days (as far as filtration betas go) are the synthetic media based...
Hmmm...we're talking about what's likely the simplest circuit in the car. Especially with the box removed.

You can "test" the switch by unplugging it and jumpering across the connector.
Shorting any of the CPS signals to ground will not blow the EFI fuse. Or any fuse for that matter. As pointed out shorting the O2 sensor heater power will. It won't cause a rich condition though. That's tough to have with a blown EFI fuse ;)
I asked about pressure with the line off because your other thread says it's fluctuating. That shouldn't happen with the line off. If it did that'd point to a problem with fuel delivery. Since it doesn't fluctuate me thinks you're barking up the wrong tree regarding your idle symptom. It could...
You're going to need a new meter pretty soon if you keep that up. As for the other thing you're losing rest pressure. It means you have a leak somewhere, either internal or external.
Does the fuel pressure fluctuate with the vacuum line off?
