Yeah...Titan should have a handle on the AEM ;)
Don't mount the AIT on top of the motor...like I said, you don't want it to heat soak. I went to the hardware store and found a fitting it would screw into (I "think" it was a pipe thread)...cut it down to make a bung and Arz welded it on the...
Ummm...that's the fuel sender unit. It will come out with the tank installed. The pump is under a different access panel on the top of the tank...you must drop the tank to get to it.
Ok...I'll take a shot at this Jake. Be advised I have not installed my AEM EMS yet, but have studied the wiring diagrams. Before you do this, you would be well advised to find an AEM factory trained tuner in your area...this is not something you can take out on the road and "butt dyno" tune...
There's a couple of things that have to happen before the IGf signal is generated. The ECU must see at least one G1 or G2 signal and the NE signal generated by the CPS. Failure of these signals will normally cause a code 12 or 13, depending on if it occurs during crank or above 1000 rpm...
How full was your overflow bottle when you started out cold?
Could be a number of things. Check the radiator cap first...you could have got a bad one. Might not be a bad idea to have the cooling system pressure tested to see if you have an air leak somewhere.
Your radiator could also be...
Ahhh...I see ;)
It's a bar & plate (same as Spearco) and the pressure drop is not too shabby. The only thing that doesn't make a lot of sense is it only flows 700 CFM and it's got a 3" inlet/outlet...I was expecting more from an IC that size. 3" piping is a little much for most of the...
The only reason you would want something that big is to handle a HUGE turbo. You're much better off sizing the IC (and piping) to the flow your turbo produces.
The cold start injector operates only on engine start...it's power source is the same as power to turn the starter. After engine start, injection by the CSI is terminated. The only way the CSI will still provide fuel is if it is stuck open or has crap in it preventing it from closing...
I figured you'd do that after you thought about it ;)
With the pistons you're planning on using, I think it's a good call.
Will the ICS match the bore size nice and tight?
(excellent choice in oil BTW)
Now if we could just convince the young guys around here of this simple truth!
On my list of things to do tomorrow ;)
JJ - At $8 a quart you might as well use Redline!
Loki - Good to know...I'll give the local VW dealer a call and see!

Something interesting I've found in the last week or so. Some of the AutoZones I've visited have the older...

Basically the NA cams will shift your power band to the right and flatten the curve at high end.
To answer your question, the NA cams will work, but you will sacrifice some high end power. You will gain some HP at...
