32mm deep well...be careful, you might twist the union bolt off in the head. These are usually rusted on the inside ;)

What temp coolant thermostat are you running?

For the care an feeding of a 7M, 1J, or 2J motor...you really need to pay attention. There's a ton of info on fluids...highly suggest you read it. For your car, Red Line MTL in the tranny will be more than sufficient for the power a 1J is capable of ;)
