Just making sure, I didn't want to pull one from a 89 just to get home and it dosen't fit. I thought it was a two piece shroud, no supra of mine has ever had a shroud so I had nothing to go by.

So today was the day. I put in the new CSF radiator, fanshroud(Thanks Gilsdorf.) and was able to wire up the two electric fans in my 87'. The only fitment issue was the frame rubbing in the front of the radiator. All I had to do was grind little by little until the two no longer contacted. No other fittment issues. All in all it is a very good radiator. A great deal thicker than stock and much better cooling. Takes a little longer to come to temp but the temp cools back quite rather quickly after the car has been shut off for a bit. I would recomend this to any one.

IIRC it was a 180 ish. I got it at autozone.

Might want to consider a stock temp (190 deg)...that will help it warm up a bit faster. I like the Stant SuperStats.

Yeah, like I said I just got it from autozone. I will run it like this for a few days then switch to the 190 and burp the system again. Just curious does the thermostat have anything to do with the temp of the air coming from the heater? A few days ago I noticed that the heat was more like a cool breeze. I thought that burping the system would help but it did not.

Coolant temp does...the thermostat gets the engine coolant up to ops temp. If it opens too early, it can take a while to warm up due to the capacity of the CFS radiator.

You also my have some air in your heater core...when the motor is warm run the heater full blast (85 deg) and check the coolant level after each cool down for the next week or so.
