    Oil cooler/relocator kit: Questions

There is no kit of the quality you seek ;) You will need at least -8 lines. Are you planning to use the stock turbo filter head or are you going full flow to the filter/cooler?

Brake Lines to near on the DownPipe

I would get that downpipe ceramic coated (2000 deg rated) and then wrap it. Get the heat shield that protects the line ceramic coated too. You definitely do not want your brake fluid to get hot enough to boil...may want to consider replacing the fluid with Dot 4 (higher boiling point) or...

New owner of an MKIII, new problems

Check your ECU diagnostic codes. 60 psi fuel pressure is way too high...turn it down to 30 psi and go from there.

    Oil Cooler Thermostat

This one: http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/mocal.htm It's already got the AN fittings built in...saves you about $25 for 4 NPT-AN fittings. And it's a high quality thermostat. Below it on the same page is a sandwich plate with the thermostat built in.

Im Thinking Of Switching Oils And Weights

Those are really good pressures ;) Based on the before/after numbers, you could easily run the TSO 0W-30 or ASL 5W-30. You would have a bit less pressure, but you would have better flow...especially during the colder months on engine start. How's the valve train sound? I would run one...

Im thinking about using GM SynchroMesh in my tranny...

GM SynchroMesh is for manual transmissions that specify it...RP Synchomax is a replacement for it. This weight oil is used in trannys that require automatic transmission fluid, multi-viscosity motor oil or straight grade motor oil. Read this thread for why it's not a good idea to use either in...

Im Thinking Of Switching Oils And Weights

Take a look at this thread: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41775 What have you done to the oil system and bearing clearance wise? The thread I posted above answers that question nicely...read it carefully. Although, I'm not sure what you mean by "15 is low and 50 is...

Pretty sure I've got a BHG...

Keep something in mind about a BHG. You are likely getting coolant in your oil...it does nasty things to your bearings. The more you drive it, the more damage. This is why rod knock will often follow a BHG. The question is...do you feel lucky? Well, do ya?

Pretty sure I've got a BHG...

NAPA block test. After you run it to warm up, take a look in the coolant bottle...if you see bubbles...not good :3d_frown:

    ARP Bolts

He got the question answered long ago ;) Besides, IJ's pics of that cross sectioned head was well worth it. Well, like I said, 85 ft/lbs is not that big a deal...heck, your wrench could be off that much if you have not had it calibrated lately. I just don't want the wrong info to be...

    oil pressure

A 20W-50 is not going to help you...if you run an oil this heavy, the motor/lube system needs to be built to handle it. And this only on the high HP cars. You are actually hindering oil flow through your motor due to the high viscosity. This is having the opposite effect from what you think...

    ARP Bolts

Nice try...I do believe ARP is in the fastener business exclusively. So, if you didn't want other's experiences...what exactly is it you do want? This discussion started with you saying you doubted the high HP guys torqued head bolts/studs to ARP spec. What's your point?

    Dual stock intercoolers

Yeah, you'd have to put some thought into the piping design. Like Joe said...too complicated to be worthwhile. A Spearco (or knock off) would be a lot easier and give you the flow you need. Even though impractical, it is kinda neat thinking about how it could be done ;)

    ARP Bolts

How about realizing that over torquing head bolts/studs is not something you want to do. You asked to hear form some high HP guys and you got what you wished for. Just because none of them agree with your position means you're getting flamed...but, it does appear you have difficulty...
