I second that. Take it to a dragstrip. Make it fun with a little wager. Loser has to pay the others entry/race fee. That's what I used to do when someone called me out. No worries about getting an expensive ticket, or putting innocent bystanders in danger.
If I could do it all again (and afford it) I'd run a bolt on the stock manifold. A remember one of our members pushing a little over 550rwhp on the stock manifold. We weren't sure if the stock manifold was the limiting factor of making more power, but he did get good power of the stock mani.
I think I'd rather be in a car that's designed to crush and take the brunt of the impact rather than me taking the hit. As you can see, cars can and will be replaced. But that's just me.
I've never been impressed with a car that could hold its shape after its been in a bad accident. All I...
I need to drop my gas tank and clean it out. Clean my fuel lines, oil cooler & lines, and intercooler. Finish assembling the 7m. Mate it to the R154. You know the rest. I need to get in the garage and at least do one thing on a daily basis. If I do that then it'll all come together before I...
But if you're supposed to be seeing boost pressure at idle, and that actuator opens under boost wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the VNT technology? So the problem isn't making the turbine switch from small to large, but controlling it to use it effectively? Right?
Would T'ing in a boost...
I like the front rake look. I never did like the pre89 bumper until now. I don't recall seeing it with that lip. I kinda like it now. And the stance is really helping the look of it. I like.
Dammit, I couldn't see much of the car. He was going too fast. What kinda wax did he use?
EDIT: I see you have time to fiddle with that DSM. What's up with the dyno session? I want my cookie!
BTW, what are the mods on that DSM?
I was just thinking. What if your "buddy" has you put your Supra in the body shop to get fixed and painted. He backs out and leaves you hanging. Leaves you in a bad position and knows you really can't buy that SC400, so you have to take it back to the dealership. He shows up to test drive...
Tell your friend to buy it as is and have him put it in the paint shop. What if you get your car painted and he decides not to buy. Then you'll be out $1500 and that much further away from your SC400. As a matter of face I'd have that MKIII on craigslist, ebay, supramania, supraforums...
478rwhp / 492rwtq
Oatmeal raisin, cup of coffee, cafe latte, twist of lemon.... sweet and low.
BTW, can the winner number just be the rwhp figure. It's would be kinda hard to determine a winner using both hp and tq numbers. Does everyone agree?
Are you the guy that bought/traded your AE86 for some guys MKIII supra? Then drove the shit out of it and blew the headgasket, tried to blame the previous owner, and denied him the rest of your parts you promised him for that trade?
Can a 7mgte blow a head gasket in a instance... yes. Run...
It was probably wasn't installed correctly. Besides, how much pressure does the crankcase go through if you have very little blowby on a healthy motor?
I've had my OEM toyota seals leak on me in the past. No big deal, they just do that as time goes on.
Which hose would that be? 87245-1B262? Is that the one that goes from that wrap around hard pipe to the firewall? If not I need to know which one so I can replace it before I install my engine.
For what good reason? Back in the early to mid 90's we didn't have LS engines.
Ford 5.0 engine is lighter, and dimensionally smaller than a SBC. But not by much. Sure it'll fit. Tons of aftermarket for SBF's. I'd frankenstein it if I had the free parts laying around.
