    stupid cheap ebay gaskets

My last felpro torqued to 72lb/ft lasted a good 4 years when my car last ran. Plenty of trips to the dragstrip, and spirited driving. I missed a gear on the dragstrip running 18psi on a 57trim CT26 (i know i know), overreved, shattered my piston ring lands, and the felpro still held up. I'll...

Looks like you have some kind of metal around your coolant passages. The evergreen HG I have doesn't. Which HG do you plan to use this time around?

I thought stock toyota head bolts were TTY. They're not? EDIT: I just looked it up on TSRM... they're not. They don't have the torque sequence of a TTY bolt. These are conventional bolts and can be reused. I was misinformed and have been passing along this info for a while. :: facepalm ::

Were the stock head bolts brand new, or did you reuse the old ones? It's not recommended to reuse the stock head bolts. FWIW, I have a cheapie Evergreen headgasket I don't plan on using if you're interested. It should be ok for an n/a when torqued down to at least 72lbft. If you want to...

What time would you like me to come over? I can help with the cam swap and shim adjustment if needed. I'll bring my extra shims and tools. I usually wake up on my days off around 7:30am, so being there early isn't a problem. Let me know.

    I wrecked my Supra :(

What IJ said. Just part it out, take the remains to a salvage yard, and buy another one. Next time don't be so much in a hurry to get home. On a side note I feel sorry for your parents. 17 and had an accident. Their insurance rates are going to go up quite a bit. Don't be too suprised if...

Yeah, that sucks. Start parking your car on the driveway if you can. Car parked on the street always get banged up.
