Check it out, quality shave and color change...Body work is finished!

That is an awesome price for everything. A real body shop would have charged you well over 10K for the shave work, disassembly/reassembly, color change, glass, etc. materials for that kind of job. European style clear always lays out smoother than traditional. Especially if you use the slow...

Oh btw, what kind of "friend" price did he charge you to do all of that work? If you don't mind saying that is. Did that include paint and labor, or just labor and you front all the materials to get it done? That's alot of work done there.

Looks nice. I would colorsand and buff it out. That would really make it look like a show car. What brand of paint was used? How many coats of clear? Is that hot rod black he used on the trim?

    Ive just about had enough.

Come on, let's be realistic about the 2j swap. Don't steer the poor young man into a snowball of money project that he doesn't want. 2jzge $400 Machine/cleaning cost as you quoted $600. That's on the low end. Gasket set. $400 MHG to drop compression. $210 ARP studs $190 SSAC n/a...

Where did you get you new windshield seal & trim? Or did you just get new seal? BTW, great job on the color change. I must admit, I don't think I would have went to that extent of disassembly to do that. On my personal cars I will. On anybody else's car... no. It's alot of work and people...

He's using a different front cover (timing belt case) that came with the block? You do have to get those machined at the same time to ensure the HG will seal. First pic show to put sealer between the timing belt case and block. If that case is higher than the block then the head will not...

    Ive just about had enough.

Cut your losses and let her go. You already see how much this car has costed you in the last couple of years. It only get worse from here on out. Unless you have deep pockets to do things "the right way" then I wouldn't continue the punishment. You said it yourself, you really don't have the...

I actually bought that pump used from another member here. He had only put on around 700miles on it and decided to go 2jz. The pick up and supply tubes are my old ones. I just soda blasted, cleaned with soapy water, and blow dried those pipes. I have my older pump you can have. It did...
