I'll try to get those lock nuts. I'm going to have to go to one of those nuts and bolts hardware stores. Napa & Oreily's didn't have them. Will lock washers with regular nuts do? Just in case.

I did think about welding the studs to the manifold, but decided not to. The manifold is already tapped. It's 10X1.25 I believe. The stud threads into it. Just slip the turbo on top and torque the nut down.

Can I use studs and nuts like this to mount the turbo to the manifold? The stud will pass through the turbo and thread through the manifold. Will it hold, or just shake loose after time? Would I need to get bolts that would thread through the bottom of manifold up, and mount the turbo on top...

I heard of someone with a 7m O-ringing their block. Some may say that our cylinders are too close together for it to be done properly. What does that service cost? If it's way too much you may want to consider using an HKS stopper gasket. They're known to hold some mighty HP.
