    Amsoil 5W-40

If you are going to remove the pan, shimming the pump relief valve will be easy to do...it's a worthy mod IMO...4-5mm washer thickness is plenty. Since you have the Mocal thermo, a larger cooler will not over cool the oil...it will provide extra cooling capacity when you take the car to the track.

Car starts, but rough idle and white smoke

Check your timing. The crank dampner should point to zero, both cam gears point to the back cover notch, and the distributer pointing to the #1 contact. Then set timing with a light...make sure you jump TE1 & E1 in the diag block. Also make sure the MAF is connected securely. Skip the...

    I'm a little concerned.

Sounds like the turbo oil lines to me...it's amazing how much oil will flow out of a -3 feed line ;)

    turbo sensor plug

Pretty sure the stock boost sensor only connects to the combination meter (dash instrument) harness through the drive circuit: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/manual.aspx?S=Main&P=136 Looked at the TCCS section and couldn't find any connection for the boost sensor. Same for...

These wires: Where Do They Go?

Trace the wires...one grounds to the block just behind the AC mounting bracket and leads to the battery Neg terminal. The other is from the Pos battery terminal to the starter ;)

    Starter + and -? Wires?

One more time...there is no ground wire to the starter. The starter grounds to the block. According to the TEWD: The wire from the battery is blue...it is thick (8 GA?) and attaches to the starter stud. The wire to the solenoid is black with a blue stripe and has a connector. If someone...

    VSV How ImPortant are they?

I understand, but if you don't have the time, perhaps it would be best not to post at all. ;) You do have the ability to fine tune your fuel maps with the electronics...this is especially important at less than WOT. Just pay attention to what your AFRs are at cruise when the car is under...

    VSV How ImPortant are they?

That is precisely what I'm getting at. Your post: This implies that since you have not had a problem, there is no problem removing the VSVs and disabling their respective functions. This is a prime example of a logical fallacy. You clarified in your post above...your car is not a daily...

    VSV How ImPortant are they?

If injectors sit too long, will they go bad?

Sounds like Red Line...you're fine Jake. I still would pull the EFI fuse and turn it over till you get a pressure indication. It will prime the turbo too ;)

If injectors sit too long, will they go bad?

The Red Line stuff is more of a paste: http://www.redlineoil.com/products_coolant.asp?subCategoryID=7 I highly doubt it would migrate down.

Jake - What assembly lub was used? Or, was it good old fashioned motor oil?
