My Supra Struck While on the Side of I-5

Just to let you know most drunk drivers are attracted to lights. They tend to veer toward them. It's a good thing it happened when you were not there changing your tire. Could have been alot worse.

5 years of Supra ownership... How long have you been in the game?

15 years. It's been out of commision the last 8 1/2 years waiting for her first breath of fresh forced air. It's a big part of my 20's memory. It's had alot of poon sit in that passenger seat through those years. Lots of memories.... lots. I'm sad now.

That sucks. I wish I could tell I could help you fix that, but I'm not much of a bodyman. BTW, I can run your hardpipes to you whenever you like after I get off of work. I get off around 1:30pm M-F. Let me know, and I'll swing by and drop them off.

I cut them with a 10" cut off wheel on a miter saw. The same wheel that I used to cut SS pipes. So I'm sure there's some contamination going on there. I was wonder about that, and what I could do to clean off those ends. So I can use sandpaper and clean off the ends? I'm hoping I don't have...

Ok, I got off my ass last night and cut some pipes. Here's a Ubend that I cut into four 45* pieces. This would help me make some twist and turns around obstacles. I took one of the 45* pieces and ran it so along side the turbo. I'm going to use a silicone 90* 2" - 2.5" bend from...

How did you route your pipe? Where exactly does your 2.5" pipe run through? I tried to run it how the stock pipe is supposed to go. I'm going to take another good look and try again tomorrow. I'll take pics and show you what I'm talking about.

I guess I'll try to get creative. I'm just being lazy and wanted an easy way out. I'll get back at it again. It's just how my turbo sits on this manifold, and how I have to clock the compressor housing makes it a little difficult to run it straight down. I'll go back to the drawing board and...

Hey David, how did you run your pipe from turbo to intercooler? Any pics? I'm about to throw in the towel and run with some 2" silicone hose and a little bit of piping on that hose. Besides, I'd have to use reducers on both the turbo and intercooler ends if I use the 2.5" piping. My old...

Yeah, it looks like I might have to make use of all of them. I'll see. I'm going to mock up the lower intercooler stock hose and see If I can duplictate it somehow. Of course the new piping is a little larger than stock. We'll see how it goes. Thanks David.

It's a start. Trying to figure out what I'm going to do for the turbo out to intercooler pipe. I'm wanna try to run it down to the IC, but that's going to be a challenge.

I went to a friend shop to use his Hobart flux core welder to weld it up. First time using his machine, and it didn't go all that great. I welded it, but didn't really get good penetration. There was no adjustment for wire speed, and heat adjustment was very limited. One heat setting was a...
