Well i just upgraded to 2.5" intercooler pipes, larger intercooler, and 57 trim ct26. I am running this bypass valve
http://www.cimotorsports.net/Turbosmart-Kompact-Dual-Port-Universal-Blow-Off-Valve.html
I have the 25mm (1") version, but i am using reducers to bring the size down to fit the stock fittings. Before these upgrades I was running 10PSI on a stock ct26 and stock intercooler/piping with no surge but now the surge is ridiculous. It will surge even at 1psi, and the surge sounds about the same whether i let off at 5 psi or 9 psi. It only surges when i let off the throttle. I already verified that the bpv is working fine, even put a bosch style valve in there with the same results. I checked the valve operation as well as the vacuum source everything is fine (it didnt surge on the same setup, before the ic and turbo upgrades). I just find it odd that it surges with almost no boost at all. The fitting on the cxracing hard pipe seems slightly smaller than stock as well, i had to use a worm clamp to get it to seal properly.

My question is, will a 25mm fitting welded onto the upper pipe and a 25mm fitting going back into the accordion be enough to vent the pressure for the 57 trim on boost up to about 13-14 psi? Reason being i don't want to get a fitting welded on and end up with surge. Has anyone run a bosch valve with a 57 trim with success? My valve should flow the same or more than the bosch.

Another question is where i can get a weldable aluminum 1" fitting, i cannot seem to find one online. Thanks for the help.

with a stock ct-26 i ran 15 psi on the bosch bypass valve with no issues, other than fuel cut at 3500 rpm lol. i take it this is the 57 trim ct-26?? the surege issue is kindof puzzling, almost like the pipes arent sealed or there is a small leak somewhere post turbo, one that only leaks with presssure, not enough for vac....
