Will it run, yes. Hotter intake temps. By how much I don't know. I wouldn't be ragging on the car until you do get another one. I'd wanna keep the temps down while driving it like that. Good luck.
I won I won!! Sorry about the loss. You'll be back up and running soon. Buy Reiketsukan's. If not there's has to be many local's around you that has one.
I remeber gas prices being around $0.89/gal when I first started driving in 1990. I was 16. $10 would fill up your car and you could go all week. When I bought my supra in 1995 93 octane was $1.05/gal. Those were the days.
I was also going to mention Hot Hues by Dupont. Not quite candy, but they're are some good looking colors they have to offer. Go to a automotive paint store and ask to look at some color chips.
If you're looking for a budget paint job do not go with candy. It takes someone who really knows the process, and how to properly lay out a candy paint job. Which means you're going to pay dearly for it. Otherwise it can and most likely will come out blotchy, uneven, and just plain wrong...
I sold my basket case CT26 as a core to a memeber here for $50 shipped. Not sure what a "needs rebuild" T4 would run for. It depends what size the turbine housing & style, and compressor housing size is. I've seen people sell .69 + AR tangential P-trim Vband turbine housings for $150 shipped...
When he gave you the car free, or did you pay for it? If you bought this car from him shame on him for not telling you the car had problems. Shame on you for not asking what was up with the car especially when you knew he had the oil pan off for some reason. Nobody would drop the front subfame...
Wow, I wouldn't have expected that from Mosely. He did comment that he tried his best, and found the worlds best pound for pound fighter. I thought if any fighter would give him trouble it would have been Mosely. But I figured he just wanted a payday myself.
Ok, I get my clutch slave cylinder in today. I just put it in. I tried to bleed it by myself with a hose on the bleeder screw/other end in a jar of brake fluid method. I had to keep monitoring the fluid level and topping it off. I closed the bleeder screw, and pumped the shit out of it...
How was your oil level? Was it good, or low? Pull your bottom intercooler hose off at the intercooler. The one that comes from the turbo to the intercooler. Check to see if there's oil in there.
Yeah, that's the cost of a full stand alone system. I'm talking about piggybacks that range from $300-500 depending on what you go with. Sure stand alone is the best, but something is better than nothing.
The Cheap way... an Ebay turbo manifold. A spacer for the manifold. Custom downpipe. Wastegate with dumptube. That's the heart of it. Then you'll need to change your intercooler piping, and intake pipe from AFM to turbo. Filter. Custom turbo feed and drain oil lines. You can do it yourself...
I would wait on the head work. Save that money to do other mods. At least you're looking into covering fuel so you don't ruin your motor by leaning out.
If I could do it all over again my first mods would have been a wideband and a piggyback fuel computer to monitor and tune my car. Then...
