    subframe bushing Delete?

Oh come on guys, we all know that the inside sidewall of the tire is by far the most grip-filled part of the rubber... You ever wonder why the VIP crowd can't get traction in most cases? Perhaps *I'm* the one mistaken, but isn't that what tires are for, traction? :aigo:

    Gauge pods

I've seen "frog-eye" styles used on other cars before. Could probably custom fabricate something. HKS had a glovebox gauge pod for the RHD cars. I've seen them stuffed into where the climate control, cigarette lighter, and ash tray used to be... if you can name it, it's probably been done, but...

Since when have our rear sway bar end links plastic?

So, good thing to replace when I stick the Tanabe's on there then?

What are your favorite things about MKIII Supras?

Had either a C6 Z06 with the Z07 package or a ZR1 coming up on me last night, driving rather spirited... talk about getting sweaty palms. Probably the only car more menacing looking than the Mk3 I can think of coming up in your mirrors... Probably cost about the same too, when you consider the...

    Daily Driving a 2jzgte mk3

I can speak for the DD crowd as well. I've daily driven Supras for about 5 years now, about 3.25 of them with NA's, and the other 1.75 with my stock-ish 1jz. However, as I say to ANYONE, owning *only* a Supra as your sole means of transportation is foolish. Not saying they're unreliable...

First Time Drag FAIL at Sac Raceway. NEED ASSISTANCE

Well, for reference, I launched at 5500, and like it's been said, DO NOT dump your clutch. Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5rpFXdWtK4 Not about drag racing, but it stresses the importance of being smooth with your inputs. If you're impatient, skip to about 6:30 or so, and you'll...

    "Exhibition of *excel*eration" ticket question...

Just to give this thread some closure, I was rather flustered with work (it's always ridiculously busy here), and my mind wasn't clear enough to make proper choices. I *should* have requested a meeting with the prosecutor, just to see what I could work out with them, but, like a dumbass, I...

    2JZ Solstice Build

A lot less than most Supras, that's for sure. I approve of this project 100%. How much of the engine did GM in their infinite wisdom ( :: facepalm :: ) stick under the cowl? Always hated that about newer cars...

    RX60 Cressida meets 2jz

Wouldn't mind some of that myself... So, is the plan here just a 2j NA, or is this thing gonna see some boost?

Since when have our rear sway bar end links plastic?

Can't say I ever have, but I don't track my car either. I've probably spent more time off roading in mine than on a track...

    climate control led conversion

Gurley-something or other used to do them, and may still. Did a good job from what I saw too. :)

What are your favorite things about MKIII Supras?

At least around here, I kinda have a love/hate relationship that I totally feel like a predator in this car. Short of the very small handful of *occasionally* driven vehicles that I KNOW are faster than me by a long shot, I feel like I have one of the fastest cars around here that actually gets...

First Time Drag FAIL at Sac Raceway. NEED ASSISTANCE

If you can source a set of FD Rx7 stock wheels, they make for a good, cheap drag setup. They're light, but still 16's. As for tires, I have 275/40/17 Nitto NT05's on Mk4 9.5" wheels, and I'd love to see how they do out of the hole launching on boost. Trouble is, nearest track to me is over 100...

Since when have our rear sway bar end links plastic?

Was poking around under my car a couple weeks back and noticed this. The end links of our rear sway bars are made of plastic. Hard plastic, but still plastic... just seems odd to me. Granted, I don't think the rear sway bar is put under nearly as much stress as the front, but... anyone else find...

    I'm taking a trip

Check the sticky section of Mk3 general I believe for a "breakdown connection hotline" and you'll find all who were willing, past and present. Not 100% sure that's a current list, but good luck!

    Car registration expenses?

Quite the opposite actually, kind of like the weather. Jobs are here, but the weather sucks. Weather is great in AZ, but the jobs suck. I see what you mean, so far I seem to be in third place then, behind yourself and Kai. Whole different story, but we don't have state tax taken out of...

    Vegas in July/August

So long as your cooling system is in good order you'll be fine. If you're on electric fans, I hope they pull a lot of air... My current setup doesn't much care for AZ and NV weather in the summer.

Looking to purchase my first mkiii.....

My take on the idea? If a car has high mileage, chances are it was reliable for the prior owners. Also, read the above link, there's some good info in that. :)

First Time Drag FAIL at Sac Raceway. NEED ASSISTANCE

Haha, first time huh? Happened to me, was racing a guy with a ~420whp-ish Mk4 who had crappy tires. Outran him in the time, but it was heads up racing in that class, so whoever ends up at the finish first wins... I have good luck bringing my rpm to about 5k-5500, engaging clutch halfway, and...
