I'll be the devil's advocate/voice of reason here and suggest that you not drive *quite* that fast, but that would be awfully hypocritical of me, and I suspect, most people on here... My guess would be the same as what's been mentioned already though, driveshaft first, brakes second.
I still laugh at this... you have nothing to lose here, not even dignity. If you get beat by a 100+k turbo Porsche that was built and designed to kick ass on a track, you get beat by a car in a class well above your own. And if you win? Poor guy is gonna be kicking himself...
Actually, that's not all that unusual for that age Trucker. I remember my being 19, with a clean record, I was paying nearly that much on a 94 Cavalier that was already 7 or 8 years old. Granted, I was living in Phoenix, but still. It'll go down if you keep your driving civil. ;)
I'd say keep the NA if you have the means and space, they make good part runner cars. By that I mean, all the trips you'll have to go to the parts store, they make good cars when you're working on the swap. :)
Honestly though, the 90 should have proper mounts already, and the R154 is a bit...
That would be even worse, there's the steering in the way on RHD cars...
Let us know how that goes for ya. I remember doing the Y-pipe in the car, that probably still tops my list of "least favorite" car operations I've done so far.
With a PWR and 1jz, I have *roughly* 3.25" before I could foresee interference with the water pump pulley. Would depend on placement of the fans in relation really. Wish I were closer, I'd help ya test them out for sizing. Good luck with the group buy. :)
Strictly speaking, I would only go with stock sized pulleys, and would only change out accessory pulleys for lighter ones (as in the DM kit, sans crank pulley swap).
Is anyone seriously surprised that someone from the Jackass crew is dead? Shit, I figured it would have happened LONG ago...
EDIT: Damn you Mario... ninja'd me.
FTFY. ;)
That said, I've been with Progressive for nearly 6 years now, they've been good to me so far. Full coverage on the Mk3, and liability on the Mk2, I think I pay something like $52/month...
Definitely a different world here. Every state is different even, for example, for the same price I was renting a house in Arizona, I would pay to rent a 2 bedroom apartment that's 1/3 the size here in Wyoming.
However, they say that necessity is the mother of invention, right? Bet you guys...
