Where can a get a direct source for an RPM signal?

IGt is timing control. IGdA and IGdB control cylinder selection. If you think about it you'll see there's sufficient logic states between A and B to handle three sets of two cylinders each.

    code 21

Good grief. How hard can it be to check continuity of one wire between the O2 sensor and ECU? And what does ground Point B have to do with it? Why do you think that's weird?

Where can a get a direct source for an RPM signal?

A minor correction: IGt is not rpm and doesn't exist in the diag block. IG does however and is what you need.

    code 21

The ground is supplied by the ECU. No ground = no current. There needs to be at least 1 amp flowing through the sensor heater or the code gets set. Although it could be the ECU it's far more likely to be the busted wire/connection you've been told it is. You simply need to find it. I'm done...

Understood. Yeah, TIS is nice as long as someone else is paying for it. Odd how the online TSRM is 90 but the TEWD is 89. I think many folks assume they're the same. For all I know they may be and the guy made a mistake. Since I had an 87 I'm not familiar enough to know the difference. They're...

Gotta love that ;) I agree about Rotella staying put though. Must have done well on the NOACK.

Your previous post indicated you needed to consult a 89 TEWD. The online one is an 89: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/ Am I missing something?

    confusing overheating issue!!!!

It's not just a river in Egypt... What chip said. And it detects CO2 (carbonic acid actually) not HC. The test fluid is BTB: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bromothymol_blue Fwiw, since they also use BTB, with a little thought you can do the same thing with a $5 aquarium test kit from...

    Idle problem

Kenny: without getting into a lot of detail I'll make it simple: The closer learned values are to null, the closer they are to the default values used by the ECU after reset, the closer the engine will immediately run as it did prior to reset. That's how the car was when it left the factory and...

What Nick and Devin said. There's an enormous amount of misconception on this site about ECU learned values and how they work. The OP's car clearly has other problems.
