I thought this was a thread about overheating the engine and not the driver?
I'd probably put the gages on it too but if the AC system passes the performance test show in the manual it's working.
With CFC12 mine delivered recirculated vent temps of around 42 with an ambient of 100 but...
Yeah, a common chafe point is near the EGT where the harness can contact the manifold. If it's popping the fuse when the key goes to start it and, assuming it's not hard shorted somewhere else, it could also be the fuel pump circuit. You might want to gently move the harness around and see if...
Black/yellow is correct. It's pin 2 on connector Q, which would be the 24 pin connector. This is the ECU "keep alive" power and should be 12 volts whenever the battery is installed and connected.
34 is likely a boost leak. 25 and 26 show the engine isn't in fuel control. That could be caused by a whole bunch of things but one place to start is with the O2 sensor.
Next time tell him to check it using #6. The car has one O2 sensor. Btw, had you installed one of those "useless" light show displays you'd have known exactly when this happened and could have gotten right on it...
Not sure what you're talking about with "factory oil/water cooler" thing but a sandwich adapter will work for that setup.
And where the heck is the Dubster? Did he finally get sick of this place? I know the feeling...
It is kind of odd timing wasn't checked since that's part of the test protocol. Agree with chip though, definitely not in fuel control.
I notice this car has a 100% pass history all the way back to '97 including the last two times at the same station in Chula Vista. Curious as to why this is...
^ Something else the print clearly shows. :)
And whose fault is that? He probably know all about the lastest x-box, playstation, and smartphone though...
No, it would not. That's plainly shown on the schematic. Why people don't use it is something that puzzles me, because there is no other class of problem the car can have where the solutions are so clearly spelled out.
